The WEINGUT EUGEN MUELLER has been owned by the same family since 1935. Kurt Mueller and his son Stephan are the 3rd generation to run the estate. Stephan joined the family business in 2000 after completing his studies in viniculture at Geisenheim; during his studies, he spent several months working in an Australian winery. Both winemakers are supported by Jürgen Meissner, who joined the company in 1990. He is also a graduate of the renowned school of viticulture in Geisenheim.
The specialities of our estate are the racy aromatic elegant Riesling wines which prosper in the excellent Forster vineyards such as "Kirchenstueck", "Jesuitengarten", "Ungeheuer" and "Pechstein". Our estate was admitted to the circle of 450 best German estates by the magazine "DER FEINSCHMECKER WEIN GOURMET" back in September 2002. "GAULT MILLAU" has maintained its 2 grapes rating for the estate the for more than 10 years.
According to "EICHELMANN - Deutschlands Weine" the Riesling wines from our estate are among the best wines of the year in the Palatinate and in Germany. "A great collection". The recognition of our work mirrored in these ratings encourages us in our striving for high-quality wines.
The three winegrowers are supported in their everyday work by Elisabeth and Christine Mueller as well as three up and coming young winegrowers Jana, Lea and Anne.
